It is a compact heart formed by layers of leaves of crisp and purple texture with a white central vein

Shape:	This variety comes with a wide trunk, elongated and erect. They clump together loosely around the trunk, without forming a true bud.
Color:	White ribs with purple garnet leaves
Flavor:	It has a rather bitter and somewhat spicy flavor that softens when cooked.
Applications:	It is consumed raw or stewed. In fresh salads, grilled, sautéed with other vegetables, cooked, or fried.
Farming:	Requires well-prepared, deep, well-drained soils rich in organic matter
